Get Started - Write Your Own Review

Please tell us what you think. Write a review of a book or play and share your opinions with other class participants. Be sure to focus your comments on a specific book, and please follow the following editorial review guidelines. After reading the guidelines you will need to log in to the ICON Discussion Board using your Hawk ID to post your review(s).

Editorial Guidelines
Please follow these guidelines when writing your review for the class discussion board.

Review Length: The recommended review length is 75 to 300 words.

Title & Author: Be sure to state the title of the review, title of the book and its author.

What to include: Your review should focus on the book's content and context.

What not to include: Air your opinions on the books you are interested in. While your time and comments are appreciated, I respectfully request that you refrain from including the following in your review:

  • Spoilers! Please don't reveal crucial plot elements.

  • Commenting on other reviews visible in the discussion.

  • Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks.

  • Single-word reviews. Please state why you liked or disliked the book/play.

  • Phone numbers or mail addresses.

Any review in violation of these guidelines will be removed from the discussion board.
