Thank Goodness It’s Finally….GRADUATION!
Senior Send-Off 2009 was a great success! Below is the schedule of events.
Spring Wings, April 22, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Buffalo Wild Wings at the Old Capitol Town Center
(S.T.A.T. Members Only) – Work it like Fresh Prince, and wear this year’s S.T.A.T. T-shirt or bring your discount card to eat your fill of free wings!
Senior Reception, April 22, 4–5:30 p.m., President Mason’s House
(All Graduates) – The only Home Improvement the Presidents’ House needs is you! Join us at 102 Church Street for hors d’oeuvres, conversation, and prizes. President Sally Mason, UIAA President Vince Nelson, and UI Foundation President Lynette Marshall will be there, along with your fellow graduating seniors, to help celebrate the class of ’09.
RiverFEAST, April 25, 3–7 p.m., Downtown
(All Students) - It’s going to be a Full House of local businesses on Saturday, April 25, for the university’s first RiverFEAST. The UIAA, S.T.A.T., the Downtown Association, and Riverfest are working together to present a tasty variety of downtown restaurant offerings to help congratulate seniors. While trying out some of Iowa City’s best cuisine, all students can enjoy the Last Lecture 2009 presentation given by Dr. Mitch Kelly.
A limited number of $5 food vouchers will be available free to graduating seniors (one per person). Pick yours up at the Senior Reception on April 22, at the Levitt Center on April 22-24 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Last Lecture 2009, April 25, 3:30 p.m., Ped Mall near the Sheraton
(All Students) - Hear Professor Mitchell Kelly—chosen by students—give the Last Lecture 2009 about taking life Step by Step. Congratulate seniors and don’t forget to enjoy the tastes of RiverFEAST too! The first 50 seniors will receive a special gift. All students are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Last Lecture 2008
Over 70 S.T.A.T. members joined us on Friday, April 25th, to enjoy featured music, prizes, and an inspiring talk from our nominated speaker, UI professor Craig Just, who shared how life as a Hawkeye Alum would be just like Guitar Hero.
