Clare M. Kelly
Clare M. Kelly (94BA, 94BA) was born and raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Since August 2012 she has served as the executive vice president of the Iowa Medical Society (IMS). With 5,300 physician members, IMS exists to advance medical science, promote fair medical laws and regulations in Iowa, and to protect the health of Iowans. Prior to working for IMS, Clare served as the executive director of government and external affairs at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC and spent six years at the National Association of Children's Hospitals working in child health policy and federal government affairs. She has worked in the Iowa legislature, was a fundraiser on two U.S. Senate campaigns, and consulted on two national issue campaigns. She is the past vice president of the Capital Area Iowa Club and a member of Saint Augustin Catholic Church in Des Moines. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1994 with a BA in English and Political Science. Clare is an Old Capitol Club Gold level member of the Alumni Association.
