Justin D. McBride

Justin D. McBrideJustin D. McBride (96BS) was born and raised in Iowa City, attended Iowa City High School, and received his UI Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geography in 1996. Justin's brother and sister also achieved degrees from the University (Ryan 99BS and Heather 04BA) and his father (Bunny) was professor in the School of Art and Art History for over 40 years where he was head of the ceramics area. Justin eventually made his way to Southwest Florida where he earned a Masters of Environmental Management (MEM 2004) and is currently the Executive Director of the West Coast Inland Navigation District. He is in his 11th year as President of the Greater SW Florida Paradise IOWA Club, aka Paradise IOWA Club, and under his leadership the Club has earned IOWA Club of the Year honors for the past seven years in a row as well as Program of the Year five of the last six years. In 2004 Justin was named the U of I Alumni Association Volunteer of the Year. He is organizer and head of the Southwest Florida Big Ten Alliance and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Florida Marine Industries Association. Justin lives in Cape Coral, Florida with his wife, Annette, and sons Nile and Hayden. He is an Old Capitol Club Silver level member of the Alumni Association and a UI Foundation Presidents Club member.
