University of Iowa Presidential Reception and Mini Medical School

From 5 to 6 p.m., UI Carver College of Medicine Mini Medical School presents: Breakthroughs in Medicine at Iowa with Mark A. Greiner, M.D., assistant professor, ophthalmology and visual sciences; principal investigator, Cornea Research Center, University of Iowa; associate medical director, Iowa Lions Eye Bank.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m., connect with fellow Hawkeyes while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Current medical students from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine will talk with guests about some of the transformative research happening at the university.

At 6:15 p.m., UI President Bruce Harreld, along with a current UI student and other UI representatives, will participate in a brief panel discussing the latest developments from campus.
