Are you ready for the BOOM? The Hawkeye Marching Band will be accompanying the team on its trip to Champaign this year, and will be performing at Bloomington High School at 7 PM on Friday, September 22nd. This is a free show, and voluntary donations will be accepted to benefit the Bloomington High Band (Suggested donation: $3/person, $10/family).
The evening's entertainment will consist of performances by the Bloomington High Marching Band, Illinois State's Big Red Marching Machine, and the feature act, the Hawkeye Marching Band (complete with the Iowa Cheerleaders and Herky)! It will be a unique musical event that is great for the whole family. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show begins at 7.
Location: The event will take place at the Bloomington High football stadium at the intersection of E. Locust Street and N. Colton Avenue in Bloomington. See the map below. Free parking is available across the street at the High School (1202 E. Locust Street), and in case of rain, the event will be moved inside the gym there at Bloomington High.
Directions: Since Locust Street in Bloomington is a one-way street, it is necessary to approach the High School from the West. Heading east on E. Locust Street, go through the stoplight at N. Colton Avenue. You will see the football field on your right, and the high school on your left. Turn left into the high school parking lot (Victory Lane). Pay attention to signs, as the parking lot entrance and exit are both also one-way roads. Click Here for a larger map of the area.
