About 100 club members bought tickets to the game, and the game was sold out for the 2:35 PM kickoff at Memorial Stadium in Champaign. The game was televised on ABC Regional in the area, and ESPN outside the area.

Tailgating: Our Tailgate party started around 10:00 AM and was in a parking lot at Research Park along St. Mary's Road, southwest of the Assembly Hall (the basketball arena) and west of the I-Hotel complex. We were parked as close to St. Mary's Road as possible, and were visible from the street if you were walking by. I parked my black Nissan Altima, set up our Iowa Club flags, and a tent. If you are traveling south on US 45 (Neil Street), go through the intersection with Kirby Avenue and then turn left onto St. Mary's Road. The Research Park lots are on the right, between S. Oak St. and S. 1st St. If you would like to park in the same area, it is a public lot, and parking is $20 per vehicle. It opens at 7 AM but I'm told it is likely to be full by 10 AM. At our tailgate party, the club provided hamburgers, hot dogs, and soda for $1 per person. Several kind members also brought other food or drink refreshments to share, as well as lawn chairs. About 85 people RSVP'ed and attended.

Tickets: Tickets for the game are sold out, and the club's supply is also sold out.

Hawkeye Huddle: The University of Iowa is hosting a Hawkeye Huddle at the Hilton Garden Inn about 4 blocks from the stadium in Champaign. There will be several cash bars, free snacks, along with an appearance by the Iowa Cheerleaders and Herky. The Huddle will begin at 11:30 AM and continue until 1:30 PM. The hotel is located at 1501 S. Neil St. in Champaign. If you are traveling south on US 45 (Neil Street), go through the intersection with Kirby Avenue and then immediately turn right into the shopping center just past McDonald's.
