Over 80 club members bought tickets to the game, and many travelled from outside the Champaign area to get there. Eleven of us carpooled from Normal at 7:30 AM to arrive at the tailgate party, arranged by the Chicago I-Club. Two busloads of Chicago I-Club members met us at the Chancellor Hotel parking lot, where we ate and drank before the game:

The tent provided was huge and gave us shelter from the wind.

There were plenty of hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, and side dishes for everyone.

Because of the high wind, Todd, Bryce, and Larry needed to stand guard to make sure the poles holding up the tent wouldn't be blown over.
