A Delicious Night in Urbandale
Join us for a delicious evening of food and conversation as we learn about balanced nutrition and its effects on the entire body. UI professor Teresa Marshall will lead a discussion on the quality of diet related to oral health, along with her research on healthy eating. She will help the audience decipher the government’s food guidelines and how to make informed nutritional decisions.
Following the discussion, Chef Terrie Kohl, owner of Country Club Market, will demonstrate “healthy alternative” recipes for your favorite dinner party foods. Attendees will sample the fare and enjoy wine provided by Ador Kitchens.
Dr. Marshall, 82DI, 87PhD, is a registered dietitian and an associate professor at the UI College of Dentistry, where she coordinates and teaches the nutrition curriculum.

Volunteers needed for University of Iowa exhibit at the Iowa State Fair
Alumni and friends of UI are needed to help at the University of Iowa exhibit at the Iowa State Fair Aug. 12-22. Volunteers will distribute University of Iowa information, athletic schedules, posters, and temporary tattoos. We’re looking for friendly, energetic volunteers who can interact with the thousands of fairgoers who come through the exhibit. Volunteer shifts for Aug. 13-15 are filled, but we still need volunteers to help for the remainder of the fair. Sign up at http://www.uiowa.edu/statefair/volunteers/
