Alumni Band is open to all former Hawkeye Marching Band members. Alumni Band members receive e-newsletter updates and are invited back to the Alumni Band reunion each fall during Homecoming weekend.

For 37 years, the UI Alumni Association has offered a student group. Originally named the Student Alumni Association (or SAA), we changed our name after the first 22 years to Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (S.T.A.T.). Now, we're excited to launch our Future Alumni Networkâ€”FAN! We've strengthened the traditions built within that program to bring students an even better FAN experience. Our mission is to engage students so that they become engaged alums.
The Iowa Black Alumni Association promotes the general mission and purposes of the University of Iowa and strives to acknowledge and recognize black students and alumni for their achievement and service, while promoting their career and educational opportunities and enhancing the social and economic conditions of prospective, current, and former black students of the University of Iowa.
The Iowa Black Alumni Network (IBAN) was founded to connect African American alumni with each other and current students. IBAN provides networking opportunities for alumni across the decades and a way for alumni to support current students' social, educational, and professional growth. The UIAA is currently in the process of reinvigorating the Latino Native American Alumni Alliance to better support Latino and Native American students and alumni, and maintain a supportive voice for issues relating to these constituent groups.
The UIAA is establishing a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Affinity Group that will serve as a supportive and professional network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied alumni, while fostering a sense of pride in and commitment to the University of Iowa and the alumni association. The group will also provide educational resources on LGBT issues, offer networking and social events, and support current LGBT students at the University of Iowa.
The UI Army ROTC established the Mighty Hawkeye Battalion Alumni Association (MHBAA) to help promote the Army ROTC Department at the UI. In creating this alumni association their hope is to connect alumni back to the UI and departmental events, provide opportunities for alumni and students to engage with one another, and most importantly help classmates stay connected after their college days.
