Join the UI Alumni Association and the Tippie College of Business for a relaxed evening of networking, résumé reviews, and a discussion on finding a work environment that's a great fit for you.
UI business professor Amy Kristof-Brown will explain the importance of working in an organizational culture that best meets your needs. Research shows that a good professional fit impacts interviews and long-term outcomes such as job satisfaction, performance, stress, and turnover. This interactive presentation will offer practical advice to improve your next job interview and achieve success in the workplace. In addition, fellow alumni in the human resource and recruiting fields will share tips on making a good impression on paper and setting yourself apart from the competition.

Amy Kristof-Brown
With a doctorate from the University of Maryland, Kristof-Brown is the Henry B. Tippie Research Professor of Management and Director of the Ph.D. program in the department of management and organizations. Her research focuses on impression management in interviews and compatibility between individuals and their work environments. A widely published researcher, she received both the UI Collegiate Teaching Award and the UI M.B.A. Elective Faculty Member of the Year honor for her courses on Leadership and Strategic Management of Change.
