WeberJoin UI civil engineering professor and Hydraulics Laboratory director Larry Weber on an exclusive tour of one of our nation's oldest and most renowned hydraulic teaching and research laboratories. Funded by the United States Navy, this $4 million wave-basin laboratory allows engineers to conduct experiments and collect data about navy ships in stormy sea environments. As part of your tour, you will see demonstrations on how these experiments take place.

A three-time graduate of the University of Iowa, Larry Weber has directed the Hydroscience and Engineering Lab since May 2004. His fields of interest and research include the modeling of fish passage facilities, hydraulic structures and river restoration, and the protection of endangered species.
