Iowa Night at the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens
Join the UI Alumni Association and College of Pharmacy at Omaha Botanical Center’s Lauritzen Gardens for a reception and educational presentation on how to manage medications. All UI graduates and friends are invited to enjoy free admission to the gardens, a casual reception, and a talk by pharmacy professor Karen Farris on medications. Pharmacy alumni and friends are also invited to a special reception with Donald E. Letendre, Dean of the UI College of Pharmacy.

7 p.m.: “Tips on Managing your Medications: Thoughts from a Pharmacist”

An Evening of Conversation with the UI Faculty Engagement Corps and More!
The UI Faculty Engagement Corps, in conjunction with the UI Alumni Association, is coming to Council Bluffs. Through the Engagement Corps, UI faculty members learn about achievements and challenges in their home state. After a reception with Corps members, Liz Christiansen, director of the UI Office of Sustainability, will give an interactive presentation exploring the university’s work in energy conservation and renewable energy sources, recycling, transportation, and “green” buildings.
