Hunt Elk for Museum

B. E. Manville, one of Iowa City's business men, made a trip to Montana last month to hunt elk for the University museum. Wesley Kubicek, a senior student in museum training work, went with him. Mr. Manville shot the animals and Mr. Kubicek prepared them for shipment to Iowa City. Homer R. Dill, director of museum exhibits, will mount the animals in a habitat group similar in plan to the deer, mountain lion, and musk-ox groups already in mammal hall. The expenses of securing the animals were paid by Mr. Manville. Five elk, one bear, and one deer were secured.
