Ain't No Mountain High Enough: Ben Ratcliff

By IAM Staff
How far will Ben Ratcliff go in support of a worthwhile cause?
Only across an ocean and a continent, and up one of the world's highest mountains.

This October, Ratcliff, 03BSE, of Ankeny, plans to climb the 19,330-foot-high peak of Mount Kilimanjaro as the culmination of a seven-day trek across the plains of Tanzania. He'll be traveling as part of a team raising money for VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas), a charity that sends professionals—including some from Ratcliff's employer, the Accenture consulting firm—to volunteer in countries where their skills are in dire need. The intrepid Hawkeye hopes to raise $4,000 for VSO's work in HIV prevention and education in East Africa.
