College of Medicine Alumni Reunion Weekend, June 11-12, 2010
Whether you graduated a decade or a half century ago, gathering with your classmates holds special significance—reunions provide you the chance to renew old ties and greet new faces, while having a lot of fun along the way. A growing, dynamic institution steeped in profound history, the UI Carver College of Medicine invites you to return to campus to revisit those memories and attend the college’s Medicine Alumni Reunion Weekend June 11-12.

Please complete your registration by Friday, May 14. You will receive a confirmation letter approximately two weeks before the event that includes a campus map. Attendees may pick up their registration packets at their first event.

Bucket List Open Golf Outing ($40)
Finkbine Golf Course
Pack your clubs and participate in the first ever Bucket List Open Golf Outing during Medicine Alumni Reunion Weekend. Enjoy nine holes of golf on the well-known University of Iowa Finkbine Golf Course while spending time with your classmates. Three alumni/guests will be paired with one current medical student or resident for this memorable golf outing.

UI Carver College of Medicine Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon Ceremony ($30)
4th Floor, Levitt Center
Each year, the UI Carver College of Medicine seeks to honor alumni who have transcended their fundamental roles as healthcare providers, scientists, and educators to become influential participants in the advancement of the art and science of medicine. We hope you’ll join us in recognizing this elite group of Distinguished Alumni Award recipients at a special luncheon.

Share your stories with classmates and find out what they’ve been up to while enjoying a hot breakfast. Also, meet and hear Paul Rothman, UI Carver College of Medicine dean, speak about the college today and how it continues to rank among the nation’s best medical schools. You’ll also hear from current students who are impacting their world through our on-campus global medicine electives, community-based elective courses and clerkships, and international academic exchange opportunities.

UI Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon ($25)

The UI Alumni Association will present accomplished alumni with its highest honor. This year, four of the 12 recipients are UI Carver College of Medicine alumni.

Departs from the Levitt Center
This air-conditioned bus tour will highlight new additions to the UI campus and reacquaint you with the area, including places damaged from the floods of 2008.

Oaknoll Retirement Community
The MD Class of 1955 will gather for a social at Oaknoll Retirement Community hosted by Richard Caplan. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

MD Class of 1960 Social (Free)
River Bar at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center
The MD Class of 1960 will celebrate its 50-year anniversary with this special social at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Coralville before the reunion dinner on Saturday night. A cash bar will be available.

MD Class of 1970 Social (Free)
Iowa River Power Company
Members of the MD Class of 1970 can enjoy the view of the Iowa River while at this special social at the Iowa River Power Company before the reunion dinner on Saturday night. A cash bar will be available.

Sheraton Hotel Downtown Iowa City – Share Wine Lounge
The MD Class of 1965 will gather for a class social at the Share Wine Lounge in the Sheraton Hotel for drinks and fun prior to the class dinner at Kinnick. A cash bar will be available.

UI Carver College of Medicine Alumni Reunion Dinner ($35)
Kinnick Stadium
Recapture the fun, the friends, and the magic of your medical school experience at the Alumni Reunion Dinner, featuring a great view of historic Kinnick Stadium. This dinner will give you another opportunity to reconnect with classmates and take a class photo.
