  • Saturday, October 15th – Game Watch vs. Northwestern, Tenderloin Night, Home of Ty & Colleen Theisen, 2935 Christoval, Bartlett, TN 901/272-9377. Bring a dish to share, your favorite beverage(s), and lots of spirit. Kick-off is at 6 pm, socializing begins around 5 pm, Horseshoe Pits will be open around 3 pm if you care to toss a few or just come to enjoy the day and watch the action.

UIAA:

    • Did you know that you don't have to be a grad of the UI to become a member of the University of Iowa Alumni Association? They welcome all those who have an interest in and a desire to support the University of Iowa. Dues are minimal, and membership has many rewards.

Annual Dues Reminder
Each year, the annual potluck and membership meeting held in August kicks off the club’s year. If you are unable to attend, please take a moment to mail your dues. A check should be made payable to Memphis Iowa Club and mailed to: Shawn Beyer; 230 Aston Hall Drive; Eads, TN 38028. We have been fortunate as a club that we have not had to raise dues for many years – they remain at a reasonable $10/single or $15/family - the same as in 1984! Your Board of Directors thanks you in advance for your help!

School Supply Drive:
We will be collecting school supplies for donation to De la Salle Elementary School.  Please consider picking up a few things for them, or donate some cash, and we’ll do the shopping for you.

Troop Support:
We have adopted the 2nd Brigade from the Iowa National Guard - the largest deployment of Iowans since WWII.  They will be deployed to Afghanistan in October. We will be sending another care package soon. The Game Watch on Saturday, September 11th (vs. Iowa State) has been designated as Troop Support Day.  You may bring items to send or donate cash, and we'll do the shopping for you!  Please contact Linda Olsen at ljolsen@landolakes.com for more information.
