U of I Captain's Chair, Boston Rocker, & Swivel Desk Chair

For three generations, Standard Chair of Gardner has been dedicated to producing chairs of uncompromising and unequaled quality. Each chair is made of solid hard-rock maple that's kiln-dried. It's all hand-sanded, stained, and lacquered in either a striking black finish or a traditional cherry finish. The seat is deeply saddled for both comfort and attractiveness.

Each chair is highlighted with a richly engraved University of Iowa seal and hand-painted gold trim. The result is a work of unique and lasting beauty.

You can personalize your chair in two ways:

1. A laser-engraving below the university seal. Standard Chair of Gardner can laser-engrave the recipient's name and graduation year below the university seal.

2. A brass plate with your engraved personalized message affixed to the back of the chair.
