Message from the President

It's great to be a Hawkeye!

I would like to introduce myself as the new club president of the Northeast Ohio Iowa Club. If you've attended any of our game watches in the past few years, you might recall my yelling "GO HAWKS" just inches from your ears. If not, I look forward to making your acquaintance and apologize in advance for causing any temporary deafness.

I want to inform you of some changes that we have been making in our game watch format. This year we have introduced an east side game watch location at Mario's Fish Bowl in Cleveland Heights, in addition to our west side watch at BW3's in Medina. Bringing the game watches closer to the fans has proved to be a popular decision. Our next step is to settle on a third location for fans living near Akron and Canton.

Game watches aside, there's more that our club has to offer. We are currently working with other Big 10 alumni clubs in the areas to organize volunteer events at the Food Bank, tutoring kids in "sponsored" schools in Cleveland. Even fun events like Big 10 aluimn nights at Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena are on our radar. For fun or community service. join us for an or all of these events and prove to everyone what you already know... IT'S GREAT TO BE A HAWKEYE!
