John F. Stewart has practiced law in Lee County, Florida since July of 1973. Mr.
Stewart is a partner/shareholder in the lawfirm of Sheppard, Brett,
Stewart, Hersch, Kinsey & Hill, P.A. being one of Fort Myers' oldest law firms founded in 1924. He was born in Kansas City, Missourri and John is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Lee County Bar Association, Probate, Real Estate and Gaurdianship Section of the Florida Bar Association, the First Baptist Church of Ft. Myers and Calusa Inn of Court. He has served on the 20th Circuit Bar Grievance Committee and as a director of Classic Basketball, Inc. and Verandah Golf and Tennis Club Inc. John has been designated by his peers the highest ("A/V") rating from Martindale-Hubbell. His military service was as a lieutenant in the Iowa Army National Guard.

raised in Ottumwa, Iowa where he graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1963. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University (1969) and his Jurist
Doctorate from the University of Iowa, College of Law (1972).
John's practice is in the areas of estate planning, probate,
trust administration, guardianship, real estate, and transactions.
John
is married to Brenda L. Stewart and has two sons: Charles J. Taylor
(stepson) and John Casey Stewart. John is a 'sports nut' who has
coached youth sports for over 20 years and is a life long Hawkeye fan.
He is a member of the Paradise Iowa Club and also enjoys
participating in two Hawkeye internet groups. He is a golfer
whose enthusiasm greatly exceeds his ability and he continues to search
for the secret of making two foot putts.
