I
was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, graduating from Kennedy High
School in 1988. This
proximity naturally led to becoming a Hawkeye at the University of Iowa.
My adventures at the College of Liberal Arts include completing a Bachelor
of Science degree with a double major in biology and botany in 1994.
During those years I was an active member of the fraternity Sigma Alpha
Epsilon. In addition to my studies and brotherly activities, I worked in a
College of Pharmacy laboratory. This
led to publishing several medical research articles in peer-reviewed
journals. Just prior to
starting graduate school in Iowa City, I began dating the love of my life,
Amber. The next step of my education was within the classrooms and clinics
at the College of Dentistry. Amber and I married in 1997, and I graduated
with a Degree in Dental Surgery in 1998.
As fate and cold weather would have it, we moved to Gainesville,
Florida to continue training at the University of Florida College of
Dentistry. I completed a
Masters of Science degree in Periodontology in 2001. We moved to Fort
Myers and I established a private periodontal dental practice at 1565
Matthew Drive. This practice has grown over the years as I focus on
periodontal surgery and implants. I also provide services of gingival and
bone grafting, cosmetic gingival surgery, deep scaling and periodontal
maintenance therapy. I take pride in caring for my patients in a way that
reflects my Midwest upbringing and core values. In my spare time I enjoy
golfing, cycling, scuba diving and spear fishing.
My involvement in the Paradise Iowa Club has allowed me to keep a
connection to my alma mater and my home state, as well as support the
Hawks…
