What does the IOWA Club do?
Through special events, networking opportunities, and social activities, we seek to engage Iowa alumni in all aspects of the university. From "Hawkeye Happy Hours" to summer picnics and baseball games, IOWA Clubs are here to connect the UI family while supporting the University of Iowa in general. Take a look at our upcoming events.
Why have an IOWA Club?
To stay connected! Your relationship with the University of Iowa didn’t end at graduation; it’s a lifelong connection, and the UIAA is here to serve as your gateway to the university. Your IOWA Club is involved in supporting ALL aspects of the university. From recruiting new students to networking with alumni and friends, promoting the University of Iowa spirit wherever you may live is important to the success of your alma mater.
Are there club dues?
The Raleigh/Durham IOWA Club is supported by your UI Alumni Association membership dues. A 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization, the UIAA supports our staff and program through your membership. Not a member? Join today at www.iowalum.com/membership.
What is the difference between the IOWA Club and the I-Clubs?
IOWA Clubs are coordinated and funded by the University of Iowa Alumni Association. Our mission is to promote all aspects of the University of Iowa. I-Clubs are coordinated by the UI Foundation and Athletics, are dues-based, and center around the promotion of Hawkeye Athletics.How often are the meetings?
Planning meetings for club leaders will be held three to four times per year; there aren’t general member meetings. Events held throughout the year are open to everyone.
