The seminar will be presented by Dr. Keri Hornbuckle, a Robert and Virginia Wheeler Faculty Fellow of Engineering, and department executive of Civil and Environmental Engineering. A faculty research engineer at IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering, and a researcher at the UI Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research, Dr. Hornbuckle conducts wide-ranging research on pollutants and their effect on our world and our health.

Tour of Operator Performance Laboratory and Flight Operations Research Hangar (Free)

Hosted by Tom Schnell, associate professor of engineering and director of the Operator Performance Laboratory, the tour showcases the laboratory that conducts research on human-in-the loop and intelligent autonomous systems to increase efficiency, inter-operability, and safety. Highlights include: Computerized Airborne Research Platform (CARP), A36 Bonanza and Simulator, 737 Simulator, Instrumented Lexus and Joint Strike Fighter Simulators.
