Many communities are finding creative ways to support the transition of incarcerated citizens to life on the outside. The first session will present an overview of select programs nationwide. The second session, conducted by Oakdale Prison staff, will consist of the training required for volunteers and include a tour of the prison. The last two sessions, which will also be attended by Oakdale "insider singers," will focus on the goals and operation of two local efforts, the Oakdale Prison Choir and the Inside-Out Reentry Community. In order to attend Sessions 3 and 4, students must attend Session 2.
