This course will take students through four areas of Iowa City history. Illustrated presentations will tell stories that are probably unknown to most Iowa Citians, using both archival and more recent slides. The instructor will use humor along the way and invite a great deal of interaction from the audience as he presents the material.

INSTRUCTOR: Tom Schulein is associate professor emeritus of dentistry at the University of Iowa. He has a lifelong interest in history. He has served as historian for two barbershop singing organizations, published in the dental history literature, and given over 40 presentations on Iowa City history in the past two-and-a-half years.
