This cause examines the future of diabetes care, prevention, and possible cures in the next ten years. It will cover diabetes in nursing homes, the different types of the condition, future research, potential and present cures, changes in pediatric treatment, the role of exercise, psychological aspects, relation of weight gain, and prevention.

INSTRUCTORS: Robert Bar, MD, past director of the UIHC’s endocrinology division; Greg Doelle, MD, UIHC endocrinologist caring for patients with Type I and Type II diabetes; Daryl Granner, MD, past director of the UIHC endocrinology division; and William Sivitz, MD, present director of the UIHC endocrinology division.
