Opportunities:
Student volunteers have the opportunity to help on many units with various degrees of patient contact. Students may orient at the beginning of each semester.
Requirements:
Have a desire to help others and be a part of our health care team.
Make a commitment to volunteer a minimum of three hours once per week for two semesters, as well as meet the demands arising from your academic and work schedules.
Pre-register, attend an orientation, interview, and participate in a departmental orientation.
Complete a health screening and criminal background check consent (similar to the process our staff members go through for patient contact) before you begin to volunteer. The screenings are performed at no cost to you.
Meet with your Volunteer Services Student Board leader to finalize details of your placement.
