Roadtrip to Bloomington - Reserve your ticket now!!

On November 6, the Hawkeyes travel to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers and we plan to be there!  The St. Louis IOWA Club has put together a 1 day bus trip package.  We will tailgate before the game and return home after the victory.  This will be a joint tailgate with the Central Illinois IOWA Club so we will have plenty of Hawkeye faithful there. The cost will be $90 for non paying members and $85 for paid members.

The price includes the bus transportation, ticket to the game ($50 value), tailgate food and non-alcoholic beverages.  You can bring your own alcohol on the bus and to the tailgate, but please be responsible and keep it family friendly.

Unfortunately we don’t know what time the game will start, so the departure and arrival times are currently TBD.

Dinner Roulette - Wed, Aug 25 - Royale

Join the St. Louis Iowa Club on Wednesday August 25th at 6:30pm as we enjoy dinner at another great local restaurant. This month our travels take us to The Royale Food & Spirits, a true neighborhood public house, restaurant and bar in South City St. Louis. The Royale is located at 3132 S. Kingshighway Saint Louis, MO, 63139. RSVP to James Skinner at jrskinne@gmail.com by Tuesday August 24th so we know how many seats to save.

Why is the Royale everyone’s favorite place to kick back? Could it be the comfy wooden booths or the St. Louis-themed cocktails? The hardback book menus or the framed pictures of cultural heroes like Abe Lincoln and JFK? The backyard patio with freestanding fireplace and koi pond, or the fans made of tires? Perhaps it’s all of the above, complemented by local DJs spinning hits old and new. The no-smoking policy is a breath of fresh air, literally!

Though it looks like just another neighborhood tavern, the Royale is unique, a place where those passionate about St. Louis gather to discuss policy and politics — and music and city living and maybe a little boxing, too — while sipping swank cocktails and eating good food. The burgers are excellent, none more so than the “Royale,” a carnivore’s delight of premium Wagyu beef from Down Under. Other standouts include smoked brisket tacos and a terrific roast-beef sandwich with garlic aioli. Several dishes made with locally produced Match Meat are available for vegetarians and vegans. The old-school cocktail list is a winner.

Big Ten Kickoff and Happy Hour

Join hosts Penn State as they welcome Big Ten fans and alumni to their game watch bar for the Big Ten Kick Off and Happy Hour. Join us as we get ready for another exciting season of Big Ten football!! Johnny's is located at 1017 Russell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63104. The party will be on the 2nd floor. Please note that while children are welcome to this event, not all parents will find the bar suitable for children.

Football season is around the corner! Mark your calendars to join us at Weber's Front Row every Saturday. Weber's offers food and drink specials to Hawkeye Fans, a game room for the kids and plenty of new flat panel TV's. We'll also have plenty of give aways, merchandise and raffles throughout the season.
