Total Eclipse of the Sun in China
July 13-23, 2009
Join astronomer and former NPR "Science Guy" Doug Duncan for an unforgettable natural spectacle: a total eclipse of the sun. This trip begins in Beijing, where you'll explore Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, as well as the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. You'll also see the famous Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an and journey to Shanghai. Other activities include lessons in kite-making and calligraphy, a Tang Dynasty show, and visits with local families.
