Advance Reservation System
The
Iowa Voyagers Advance Reservation System is a feature offered
to all Iowa Voyagers travelers. It is designed to give a booking
advantage to travelers who are serious about securing their space on
a future tour. Over 200 Iowa Voyagers have already used the system.
If
you would like to join the Alumni Association or want to take advantage
of the Iowa Voyagers Advance Reservation System, simply call us at
800/469-2586, fax to (319) 335-1079, or e-mail Diane
Baker. You may also write to: The Iowa Voyagers, 100 Levitt
Center, One West Park Road, Iowa City, Iowa 52242-1797.
How
it works:
You request
the trip prospectus (preliminary information including itinerary, price,
and other chief details) from our current Iowa Voyagers tour schedule(s).
You
call us to place your name on the Advance Reservation list for
the desired trip. We take your name, address, phone number, air departure
city, category preference and any other pertinent information.
You
secure your deposit by giving us a credit card number. We hold
the reservation until the first day of open booking and call you on
that day to confirm that you still want to take the trip. We then fax
in your reservation form, including credit card number, to the tour
company operating the trip. The deposit is then processed by the tour
company and your booking is confirmed.
All
of this occurs before the main brochure has been mailed, so you
have the advantage of reserving space or getting your preferred cabin
category long before others even see the brochure.
If
you change your mind anytime before the first day of open booking, just
call us to withdraw your advance reservation. We
never process your advance reservation or credit card without first
calling you to confirm that you still want to take the trip.
We invite
you to join us!
