UI Symphony Band Plays Carnegie Hall—Reserve Your Seats Now

Join the University of Iowa Symphony Band in New York City for a momentous celebration and post-event reception honoring Myron Welch, professor of music and director of bands. Dr. Welch is retiring this year after conducting bands at Iowa for 28 years.

Land-only travel packages are available through the UIAA’s Iowa Voyagers. Packages include hotel accommodations for three nights, airport transfers, a three-course meal before the concert in Carnegie Hall, and tickets for the performance and reception. Post-Performance Reception:
Add $55 to the ticket price in order to attend an exclusive post-performance reception at Carnegie Hall. While enjoying drinks and hors d'oeuvres, you'll have an opportunity to meet and greet Conductor Myron Welch, featured guest performer Louis Hanzlik, 98BM, UI dignitaries, and members of the UI Symphony Band.
