Grand Harbor Resort is located along the Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa. It is a great place to visit for some family fun during the summer or winter.
Grand Harbor Resort has a great indoor water park. The 25000 square foot water park is themed on the Mississippi. It is fun for all ages. There are two body waterslides which you can climb rope ladders to get to.
The tube slides go outside and then back in again. You can either do the tube slides on a single or a double tube. A zero entry pool is available for the little ones. It has splashing water features and a small slide just for them.
The kids will all run to be dunked by the big bucket of water when the steamboat bell goes off. It has 350 gallons of water in it and is dropped every eight minutes. The smile on their faces when they get dunked is absolutely priceless. Be careful if you don’t want to be dunked because they will try to trick you. The Huck Finn Tree house has water cannons and squirt guns to shot others with.
There are also water tunnels to explore. For the sports lovers, there is a basketball hoop to play at. The kids can jump on the back of a large snake to sit and splash.
There are always special events and games going on for the kids. Just check the calendar for more information on times and dates. There is also a kids club called Water Squirts Kids Club. In this club, kids enjoy making crafts and playing games, such as scavenger hunts. There is also an arcade to play at.
If you are looking to relax, you can enjoy the lazy river. Or you can relax in one of the two oversized whirlpools. Or just relax on one of the chairs and enjoy a book while the kids play. You can always enjoy a great treat or lunch at the River’s Edge Café.
The water park is available without a night stay for the price of daily admission. But why not stay the night, Grand Harbor Resort offers beautiful, spacious rooms and suites. Tony Roma’s Restaurant is also on site to enjoy a great meal at. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.
