Alumni Band Reunion and Homecoming
October 21-22, 2011

We're saddened to share news that Tom Davis, former director of both the Hawkeye Marching Band and the Iowa Alumni Band, as well as UI professor emeritus of percussion, died Saturday, November 12. He was surrounded by his family.

Funeral services are pending at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.

Tom was an extraordinarily important part of all our band activities and the entire UI School of Music. Please join me in expressing our deepest sympathies to his loved ones for their loss.

More than 230 Alumni Band members participated in this year's reunion festivities, including Friday night's Homecoming parade and a pregame performance in Kinnick Stadium before the Iowa vs. Indiana football game.
