Kevin Meredith (01BSE) was raised in Newton, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a BSE in Electrical/Computer Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Science and Engineering Economics. While at Iowa, Kevin was an active member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and various other undergraduate social groups. He began his career in Coralville at Integrated DNA Technologies where he helped design and create DNA synthesizers for custom oligonucleotides.
In 2006, Kevin relocated to Washington D.C. where he became a technology consultant, business analyst and web architect for multiple businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2010, Kevin joined Microsoft as a Technical Account Manager where he managed several support contracts for agencies in the Department of Homeland Security. Currently, Kevin is an Account Technology Strategist for the Defense Industry, providing strategic and architectural guidance for all their technology needs. Kevin has served on the board of the Capital Area Iowa Club since 2007 and as president since 2014. Kevin met his wife, Julie, at the University of Iowa in 2001 and they welcomed their first daughter, Cora Grace, in June 2016.
